Most milk, even human milk is A2 Beta-casein. The US milk industry started selecting for increased milk production and in the course of doing that, introduced the A1 Beta-casein mutation. Due to the use of Artificial Insemination, the mutation was spread until almost no US cows had the A2 Beta-Casein profile. Here's the VGL milk profile test results with comments from one of my cows:

Thank you so much for introducing me to this concept. It seems likely to me that lactose intolerance probably has something to do with this as well as some autoimmune gastric conditions. Are you building your own herd exclusively or are you willing to part with an A-2 heifer or two? 😉

That's exactly right! Many people who experience lactose intolerance can drink A2 milk! My good friend hadn't had dairy in decades and she can drink my milk no problem! I breed pedigree A2/A2 Jersey's and Guernsey's to restore these heritage cows to the world! For 2023 everyone has found their forever homes, but I have one last Guernsey heifer this season coming in mid-August who I haven't yet published because I'm not sure if I'm gonna let go of her or not yet...But you can certainly ping me then to find out! I raise them on their mom's milk and get them trained up to be good citizens before I let them go...so this one would be ready for her new home by mid-December at earliest.
