thank you, i try to follow nice folk, and i know i am indeed following many MANY great souls. i mentioned how nostr is a small network tho, bc the implication is that nostr starting with a proportionally high ratio of some lowliness will make its growth more associated with that same lowliness, perhaps…? and we’re just stuck having to see lots of unseemly things, just ‘cause the network is small.

contrary to popular sentiment, i do not believe technology hacks can do much to fix [all the things many think the nostr protocol can fix]. a great society always comes down to having good & great leaders (and those good & great leaders conferring power/clout to likewise independently good & great people)…using new tech to lead in better & greater ways…and, as always, leading resistance against the bad stuff.

imho. 😁😆🥹✨🙏✨

I very much agree that exceptional leaders are a very important piece...and I think restoring economic stability and leverage to 'the people' at least such that there is a state of 'fair play' -- free people will be more free to reflect and speaking their minds...Bitcoin ...and open forums like that are places to bring these things together...freedom of expression and choice...and economic freedom from several shades tyranny --- We must start somewhere...and though monied interested put alot of that static and noise out there...there are tools and technologies allowing for an opportunity ...NOT a guarantee...to attain some semblance of dynamic balance

it would be great if power were not so concentrated in such few (mostly immoral, unenlightened) people. you’re right in that we don’t actually have a culture where freedom of thought prevails. it’s dominated by groupthink and mob behaviors…in some part because regular people don’t have lots of economic freedom/power (which bitcoin could possibly definitely help with)

I hear you. -- And I think also, the large media and social channels with the types of less than positive ideas/energy are essentially magnifying the perspective of about 15-17% of the population...and these 15-17% are convinced by the obvious biased media sources that they are ACTUALLY 48-51% .... and the remaining 30-ish percent...between that 'true' 15% and the imagined 50-ish percent....'go along' with the crazies..because the TV is telling them they are about half the country...and that's how the boss or the neighbor...or my granddaddy votes etc --- It's a mess...its a bit of money, a bit of smoke and mirrors...and understanding human psychology; its malleability and how to manipulate it. ---

😭😭 it’s such a mess! 🤣🤣
