Anyone heard of Real IDs? Was just told at the airport that it is the only thing they will accept starting May of 2025.

Looks like I'll be going cross country with my scooter moving forward😂

Yes. The real ID is when you have a star on the right hand top corner. With the star that mean you showed proof that you are a American citizen and are able to travel with in the states. Its stupid

I don't think that ended too well last time.

Yeah, Pennsylvania has them. Got mine a few years ago when our airports required it.

Ya hate to see it

Meh. I need a license to drive a car. The state government has all of this information already. Me having to organize it to show them really doesn't hurt me. I need a passport to fly internationally. It's basically the same thing. What is dumb is having to give it all to them for a second time to get TSA Precheck. They already have all of it. Why continue to give it to them and pay for them to verify that what they have matches what you gave them. It should be easier.

It’s the same logic:

Why does that panhandler stand at the intersection and collect money with a cardboard sign?

Great points

I must be misunderstanding.

Are you telling us the passport will not be accepted at the airport soon? Just something called Real ID?

I must be misunderstanding.

I’m not 100%
