Pay-as-you-go gate opener with the Lightning Network.

Living on a #Bitcoin standard can take on different meanings for different people. For me, it's an evolving journey as I find ways to integrate Bitcoin into my everyday life.

Here’s my latest idea: we have a gate automation system that we want to control remotely. There are two main options - WiFi or GPS. WiFi is off the table since we don’t have it at home, but GPS looks promising.

With services like silent.link we could implement a pay-as-you-go gate opener - not one requiring a monthly subscription, but one where we pay only a few satoshis per use. You pay only for what you need, when you need it.

I’ll keep you updated on how it turns out, but it’s definitely an intriguing concept.
