The other ppl that got it were doing mostly ok too and tested positive, but who knows, if those tests are like COVID tests they have a lot of noise

Not likely, all westerners first timers in south east Asia
Well I shouldn’t generalize my personal experience, but everybody I know who got dengue the first time was hospitalized to contain the fever. But people who had mild symptoms probably never brought it up. So I might be biased. My point was, that you shouldn’t worry about it unless it knocks u unconscious. Lots of harmless bacteria in SEA to possibly caused your condition.
