I started storing filtered water in food grade thick poly jugs around 2021. I'd kept them in a cool dark and dry spot (back of a closet). I intended to keep it for emergency use, but I use the water for cleaning (mopping, wiping surfaces, and scrubbing, not dish washing), and for filling the humidifier. It smells and tastes exactly the same as it did the day I dispensed it into the jugs, but beyond sniffing it and getting a dab on my finger to taste, never drank any. I assume using it for cleaning and humidifying is safe. Anyone else have experience with that? #asknostr #waterstorage

Probably safe imo. You could boil it if you needed to.

TY

I keep barrels of drinking water in the garage during hurricane season and just add a tablespoon of bleach to 55 gallons

And what does that do to it?

Kills the bugs and mold

Are you drinking it?
