There is asbestos, widespread and unabashed sexism, seed oils, lead paint, rampant racism, lynch mobs, fiat money inflating like crazy and no practical alternative yet, rampant open homophobic violence, no alternative yet to the "news" propaganda pushed by network TV, the list goes on. But hey, at least there are no lines in the sky, so it must have been a better time.
It's all relative. It was less hellish for me personally.
