From a moderation view point and the fact the Matrix protocol suffers from state reset bugs that brick rooms, it makes perfect sense.
I'd rather run backups of a matrix server, with all of their faults, than rely on Discord.
Pay some sats to join the rooms maybe?
Move to 0xchat instead?
