Totally agree. Children automatically know this.

Walked in on my 8 year old daughter watching iPad in her room the other day and she immediately hid the screen from me. I asked what she was watching and it was just some YouTube kids family channel where they keep horses.

I realised when hiding the screen from me, she just wanted privacy and wasn’t being secretive.

It’s intrinsic but we’ve been conditioned to give it up easily.
