Ecclesiastical law is were the remedy is. Nothing is above God's law. Jesus is King. Lord of Lords.

Ecclesiastical law is exactly what churches used to over reach, back when churches had more power than government, see the sovereign individual, and see the separation of church and state, and has been corrupted further to equity law
The only law of living men and women should be natural law
I would argue that 'natural law' is of the creation. Ecclesiastic law is God's law (the creator Himself). Nothing is above that. We know of people having great success using it in court. The judges hate it and often walk out. Natural law seems to have great limitations when needing to interact with the system
