This was pretty wild ngl... I have so many thoughts... there are so many potential implications, ones grave and ones that are positive...all I can say is, open source devs are keeping them on their feet. They'll do the next best thing and start buying out and recruiting the competition in hopes of having a monopoly on all things "AI" related.

As they mentioned, they want to be the "source," the "thought-leaders" just like they did with Chrome and it's webstore.

They ain't backing down without a fight, that much is true.

They will definitely try to gatekeep the technology, but I think we've seen again and again that they can't keep up with open-source. They may be giants, and they may have tons of resources, but they don't have more resources than the collective of individuals collaborating πŸ”₯
