We're pleased to announce that Coinos is now available as a native Android app. You can find it in Zapstore (https://zapstore.dev/) and Obtainium (https://obtainium.imranr.dev/) or download the APK file from our Github page: https://github.com/coinos/coinos-ui/releases/tag/v1.0.0

We're currently seeking internal testers to help us get into the Google Play Store as well. If you're willing to help with that, please join the testing program here: https://play.google.com/apps/internaltest/4700271962235712116 or send us your email address.

The Android app doesn't offer anything new or different from our existing Progressive Web App other than the ability to open bitcoin: lightning: and nostr: links natively

In fact the Android app is just a simple wrapper around our web app, but we hope that by releasing it we'll be more easily discoverable for people who search for Coinos in the Play Store.

We'll be looking into releasing an iOS app in the future as well.

Small bug, it defaults to the home page, even after I am logged in. It would be better to go straight to the wallet.

Otherwise it seems to function just as the PWA πŸ‘

Good catch thanks we'll see what we can do about that

Thank you!😊

Is this Javascript?

This is awesome. There's a meetup near me where the owner uses Aqua wallet. I've been trying to Coinos pill him for months. An app will make it easier. Thank you. πŸ™

I have an idea on how to improve it, but I want to check out the GitHub repository first.

when on f-droid?

The F-Droid application process seemed like a bit of a pain. Is it important to get listed there?

Yes, just like the pain to learn how to use sats. Good things come at a cost, plus there are tons of nerds that use only f-droid but are nocoiners, the kind of people tha can make this environment explode with their knowledge and skills.

Good luck getting iOS approved

when i select 'scan' in order to scam a qr code, app crashes every time for me. downloaded app from zapstore, using graphene OS on pixel 6a.

Thanks for the report. Looks like we'll need to use a different QR scanning library to get things working on mobile.

Any better now? We pushed a fix in v1.0.5

i tried it after updating. same issue occurred. if logs from my phone would help, happy to send to you in a more secure method.

Shoot ok yes if you could please email any logs to support@coinos.io and we'll take a look.

Installed it, logged in. Seems good to me πŸ‘

Trying to send a zap using the app I got across this:
