The Ancient plotline is based on “1,001 Arabian Nights”. Scheherazade (Gelsey Bell) is telling stories to the Shah (Brent Arnold)to save her life,her sister Dunyazadz (Brittain Ashford) encourages her&David (Dave Malloy) plays piano for Thelonious Monk. The songs related to the The Ancient plotline are Tango Dancer, Monk, and the beginning of “Bad Men”.

And then there’s a few songs they did just for funsies like: “I Don’t Know”, “Any Kind of Dead Person”, “Four Friends”, and “Prayer”… annnnnd that’s the plot and everything explained. I think.
