I think it is WAY too early to be advocating that Trump somehow deserves to circumvent the law under the pretense that he has done “such an amazing job” that “no one else could have done”. It’s been a few days, cmon already with the preemptive dick riding.

Let’s talk about this potentiality towards the end of his term where there is more data to support this highly controversial agenda.

Hard No.

Term limits are the only thing assuring public access to public office. We need more and shorter limits not longer or fewer.

Laws that limit power are surprisingly easy to revoke, considering how hard it is (to get people in power) to pass them.

Yeah that is a hard no, I don't see it as having a chance to pass.

How bout let’s not talk about this at all? I forgot his name but a Venezuelan guy on Peter McCormack once said that when the president increases term limits that’s when it’s time to leave the country.

this rings very true to my mind

i also have found myself in places that were once quite free and by some years later so many tyrannical things were done that i decided "nope" not coming back... australia got that one 2012 and bulgaria got it 2022

which makes me think a lot then further about ... hmmm and here i was pondering migrating there

definitely not if they make this constitutional amendment

I find it obviously a very dangerous precedent.

Depending on how things go, and to be clear I hope things go well in his second term I am not a hater, I may need to consider relocating…

Which I do not want to do, I do love my country and community.

yeah, it has to be remembered it's a very big place and the feds have made a lot of enemies in the states

I would gladly leave now if it was feasible for me. I want to go live on a tropical beach and surf again. But I have a business here and I want to figure out how to keep it running remotely even if I don’t live here.
