Well, it's because to have any chance of meaningfully reducing infection you need mucosal immunity - which only comes when your mucosal system (nose and throat basically) come in contact with the pathogen or vaccine.

The covid jabs never had any chance to reduce infection as they were intra-muscular, and didn't touch the mucosal system - and everyone involved will have known this.
