Got diagnosed in 2022 when I was 35. I always knew my brain worked differently but at this point in my life I just wanted to have a confirmation because I felt like a lazy bum and the lockdowns didn’t help with depression/ADD symptoms.
Having the diagnosis didn’t really provide any real benefits though. Everyone just wanted me to take meds. Even old friends tried to push that on me. “You’ll be able to work much better once you’ve found a good dosage”.
Never touched any meds. Instead I started talking daily cold showers, breath work, meditation, stoppped using Instagram and similar dopamine pushers. Having some excercise routines also helps a lot.
