No internet connection for sure. I was surprised the cheap ones use a cloud brain, so they send huge amounts of data to the cloud and the cloud tells it how to move. It's terrifying to have such a thing at home.
Try is why I recommend to use https://valetudo.cloud or never connect the device to the internet / app.
