another noob question. #asknostr I already have a Blocksream Green wallet where I hold a chunk of BTC. I just added the lighting wallet to it but I can't seem to move any data from standard to lighting. Thoughts? should I be using a different wallet? I started storing my BTC here before I ever heard of Nostr. #bitcoin #lightning #blockstreamgreen

Does Green wallet have a built in lighting Node or a LSP? If they don't have that, then no transfer will happen.

Are you trying to get started with Lightning?

lighting mode is a new 'experimental' feature on there. I have my old standard wallet (singlesig/legacy segwit). when I signed up for lighting it added a new lighting wallet in the app next to my old wallet. Looks like I theoretically can transfer to and from it but can't figure out how to move some out of the old one into the lighting. I was trying to move some sats out of that wallet into my new alby wallet to use on Nostr.

Ah, okay. It seems then it is just such a new feature they have not worked out the bugs.

I use Zeus as it works with my Sovran Pro and then you can another node in the phone. Works really well.

It also works well with Robosats.

What do you mean by data?

I mean btc

They don’t have a feature in that app to swap from onchain to lightning. Your options are:

1. Swap using a service such as nostr:npub1psm37hke2pmxzdzraqe3cjmqs28dv77da74pdx8mtn5a0vegtlas9q8970

2. Swap yourself using something like Muun wallet

3. Swap using a custodial service such as Strike or River

Thank you so much! So precise.

Which of these would you do?

It depends on the situation. I personally have used all of these strategies.

Trying @Boltz now. My wallet said it could take up to 3 hours.

It worked!
