Who exactly decided that gamers wanted RGB lights on everything?

The market, perhaps, assuming RGB sells better and that’s the reason companies are incentivized to continue creating such products.

I remember building PCs for the purpose of playing games when I was young. Everything was normal, then suddenly parts were being labeled as "gaming" parts. I thought "OK, I guess they want to capitalize on ignorance"

But for whatever reason, many of the parts had this eye-sore RGB lighting, and the market hasn't recovered from this trope. Curious who decided this was a good idea and how they pitched it
