One really weird thing for me as a European in Brazil is that if I want to get a discount at the supermarket, I have to give them my tax number. So basically the government sees every purchase I make when I want a discount. And I think most people do it.

Looks like first step towards all the #CBDCs concept..
I mean they don’t even need it in that case. Or at least they can say: “well, we already know everything so nothing changes”
They need them to achieve even a bigger tool for control, not just for like blocking purchase for some specific things, bit mostly they will be used and programmed to be distributed and taken back when needed, so you will never be able to accumulate purchasing power.
