Also just general freedom...I've had success pointing out to an obese friend that a CBDC could theoretically be used to prevent him from going to his favourite restaurant every night.
I'm a shitlord. I wish he'd stop eating junk. But the idea (actually voiced by a politician in my country) that he could be banned from spending his own money on junk does not sit well with me at all.
