Toumaj Salehi, an Iranian rapper, has been sentenced to death by the regime of the mullahs. He has been outspoken in his protest poetry against the inequality, injustice, and tyranny inflicted by the regime on the Iranian people.

In 2012, when he took to the streets to protest, he was arrested and subjected to severe torture. However, after about a year, he was released and posted a video documenting the brutal treatment he endured in prison. Just one day after the video was released, he was re-imprisoned and tortured again. Today, his lawyer announced his death sentence to the media. We, the people of Iran, are outraged. Do not follow the Iranian news from your medias; they all lie. We are the real narrators and eyewitnesses to the unfortunate events that occur in Iran every day.

These political dissidents can't say anything anymore

We don't need to play he said she said

A regime has zero respect for individualism, equality, liberty, justice and life when it

* employs "morality police" to beat women up in public for not covering their hair

* executes people for "publishing lies" - Article 286, Islamic Penal Code

* imprisons people for insulting their "Supreme Leader"

* incarcerates people without contact with the outside world and without legal representation

* denies the accused their choice of legal representation at trial

If you wish to give the benefit of the doubt to a regime that demonstrably has zero respect for individualism, equality, liberty, justice and life, that is of course your freedom
