I am actually surprised none of our free media server operators replace our images with gifs with a 10 second ad before our followers see the image itself. It would be quite easy and extremely profitable for them.

I guess it's just a matter of time...

I would be surprised if they haven't thought about it by themselves. Server-side people tend to be quite prolific on revenue models by necessity.
