Onboarding my friend, a total Bitcoin newbie, to a KYC service was a nightmare. While OGs might prefer peer-to-peer exchanges, KYC can be a major obstacle for nocoiner especially in developing economies.
A simpler approach could be a no-KYC fiat on-ramp like nostr:nprofile1qqswe03hyye2jv3msylwkj8cml8d4m9qpc5g0tccrvrrcm86z0kcaggpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgtc54uwrd - it integrates with Meld.io for bank transfers and Bitcoin credit card purchases. Although it's not anonymous and may be more expensive, it offers an easier way to acquire Bitcoin.
Speaking of which, I suspect Aqua will also require KYC once they launch their planned debit card?
Do you have any recommendations for other user-friendly, no-KYC fiat on/off ramps suitable for beginners?

Thanks for the feedback David, but all those options mentioned in the article are basically shitcoin casinos. I recommend Bitcoin only exchanges to nocoiners. Otherwise temptation is high for them to gamble.
