That was one of the first “scary movies” I was allowed to watch as a kid.

Kinda cool that something supposed to frighten you drew you in.

Actually, it didn't really scare me. The shark was doing what sharks do and the kid didn't belong in the ocean. It wasn't the shark's fault he found an easy snack.

After swim class in high school, I lost interest in water. And it finally clicked: the kid didn't belong in the ocean.

I’ll never understand the people who poke bears and grab snakes by the tail all while telling us how dangerous they are! 🤣

The hippies help me realize that the shark wasn't the "bad guy". Misunderstood, not evil.
