100% clear for me that they will attempt the PoS ESG fork once enough investors have bought into the trojan horse of an ETF

yep, will try to block off the competing fork off the exchanges too.
That will be easier if they try a PoS fork.
A better attack is to try OFAC compliance in the node code.
