Who on nostr is building grass roots meet-ups in their communities? I want to learn from you and share my experiences. Trying to use Facebook /Insta hasn't been doing much judging from my reach.

Meetup.com has led to a couple of folks showing up. Ive found grwat success going to other events amd being the "bitcoin guy". Keep it consistent. I do every month on the third thursday at the same place at tbe same time. If you do a workshop, charge for it, people are more inclined to take it seriously. Just you and one person makes it a meetup. Advetise it on Xitter and nostr. If you are going to lead community events you'll have to be doxxed to a degree so figure out how much that is. Keep puttinf it out there. Ive had people drive from sevetal hours away to come join.

The Orange Pill App works best for me so far, but as the price gets higher, I expect that to change. Shitcoiners are starting to show up and ask me about crypto ponzi schemes.
I do my best to teach them video games on a blockchain are a scam, but they don't want to hear that.😥
If LinkedIn and meetup are working, keep doing that! I realized you can pick up people from all different sites. I've paid for some ads on Instagram which has gotten a few people. Most important is to stay consistent. Show up same day, same time, consistently.
Make it fun!! What I realized was that you can talk about Bitcoin anywhere!! So what do people like to do in your area? I hosted meetups at bars, at a baseball game, volunteering, boat rides .. can be anything! Different events will draw in different people.
