Everyone needs a place to live, it's like saying now is the worst time to eat. Housing is a utility and should not be used as an investment or store of value.

Well, if you want to risk being under water with a mortgage in the near future, be my guest. Its your money, not mine. Are you really not aware of what happened in 2008 with the housing crash? Did you even watch the video?

Well yea that's kinda the point. People who can afford a home are already living in one (the literal homeless aren't buying anytime soon) so it would be very wise to not buy a new one right now IMO.

If your buying a house to live in who care if it's underwater 5 years from now alif you can affotd the underlying payments. In 2008 people were buying homes they couldn't afford today by over extending themselves due to easy access of credit for people that would no longer qualify today for such high amounts.
