What if your son told you he had no aspirations to work or go to college and just wants to live at home forever?

Better have money for hookers because no girl is gonna sleep with your scrub ass
🤣🤣🤣🤣 true LOL
I'd make rent for a room higher than the going rate in my area. I wouldn't pay for anything for him. Let him know if he wants his own family, wife and kids he needs to get out in the world and make a life for himself.
Dam right
Once he turns 18 he’s either paying rent or getting the fuck out. Either way he’s supporting himself.
I agree
I think this is a strange attitude we in the west have developed. For most of history, children were the retirement plan. You needed them to take care of you. So the idea of them paying rent just didn't make sense. They were helping you farm or produce food, goods. So I think this attitude is not wrong but it's not complete. A family supports each other. Not just oneself.
I definitely agree with this, how you treat them is how you will be treated when you're old.
Supporting your kid if they and letting them move back in if they’ve tried and made ends meet but lost their job or something until they get on their feet is one thing.
If they’re unwilling to get a job and just want to sit on their asses freeloading is different.
I'd get a paternity test, shit's sus.
Anyway I'd probably let him stay for a while and try to find things that interest him, get him to experience the real world somehow. I mean it sounds like I've failed already for it to get to this point, so I would at least try to fix this.
I like that approach too
