you need to learn what a personality disorder is first

my short version is it is about self image and expectations of others and that being contrary to the rights of others

everyone has illusions about themselves but some people are completely convinced and it shapes their behaviour and leads them to do evil things

when that evil is to the self, ok, i'm not gonna judge that, that's a cost inflicted on the self

but when you do it to others, become aware people find it a problem, and continue

this imprinting on prototype objects has been widely observed in animals, and there is no real social benefit for our species to not have as many individuals as possible reproducing
