The first order fresnel lens at the Umpqua #lighthouse truly is a work of #art. I've passed many lighthouses and been inside emptied ones but the upclose of this one is special. The bulb inside (used to be multi wick kerosene lamps) really doesn't seem that bright. Seems like the lens is doing most of the work. This one can be seen 21 miles out.
