Just set the Orbot app to auto-connect on reboot.

I was running this for a while. But the battery usage was so intensive I couldn't realistically make it work 😬 is this normal?

I suppose that is subjective, and the device/model Android you're using definitely plays into it. Personally, I don't experience the battery usage to be intensive at all.

Must be because I have a slightly older phone with a less efficient chip set.
