First off, I want to say, thank you so much for using relay.tools! If you are receiving this you are an early adopter and have helped the site grow!

The billing system is now live. To top-up your balance or view your orders, please visit https://relay.tools/invoices

The way the balance is calculated is per-month since the relay was created. Due to bitcoin going on a massive run, monthly cost has been adjusted to 12,000 sats/month. The balances have been dynamically adjusted retroactively to reflect this. For many, the balance may seem like a lot, this means your relay has been running a long time and I have never previously billed you for it other than the initial invoice.

So, I'd also like to offer some relay credits to you as an early adopter. Your homework is to attempt to use the new support system to give me some feedback. https://support.nostr1.com

If you do this, it will help me see which relays are active and which are not and I appreciate this very much. You can also ignore this and just top-up your balance. In the coming month, I will be looking for relays that haven't topped up or given feedback and pausing those relays.

Thanks again for using relay.tools I look forward to hearing from you.

I want to attempt to run the relay.tools software myself. I heard you're looking for folks to run it on a podcast recently. However, I have some issues. I am running on proxmox, so I need to get an lxc deploy first, the other issue would be exposing the relay on tor, then proxying that via clearnet (currently I'm doing this with several services but not the 2nd relay I have running yet. I clicked the support link, but it just takes me to the relay explorer page, I'm not sure what your wanting me to do or I would have sent that message there.

If you're willing to work with me to keep that relay running, I can start to do development to get a second instance of relay.tools running, but we'll need to have a short call to figure out priorities in case you've already explored some of these avenues

Hi Auggie,

That sounds cool. Would you like to do a call today? We could probably quickly sort some stuff out.. or just lemme know when is a good time.

Let me try to get simplex back up and running and I'll ping you. What timezone? I'm cst

for a call, we can just hop on corny chat tho, no need to get simplex going for that, it prob won't even work for voice for me since im on the desktop (simplex-cli).. I'm pst time

Sent you a request on simplex, waiting for it to be accepted

told it to accept the request, yeah sometimes it's slow to get connected.
