keeping it closed reminds me of different countries in a race to make the most destructive bomb. of course ai is not a bomb. but when something is closed and regulated it essentially means a small group of north american men will decide what goes into it and how it will be released. when its open however, everyone can see the ingredients. this will stop power being in the hands of the few. this will also help educate en mass how to build this new breed of technology. having people’s curiosity sparked far outweighs reasonings of safety or guard rails.
