The Rabbit War of 2025 has commenced. Each summer I engage in rodent wars - chipmunks, squirrels, and rabbits. In the past, chipmunks have been the nemeses. I once started C.H.i.R.P. = Chipmunk Habitat Relocation Program for trapping and moving them. I think 18 chipmunks were relocated, none harmed. This year, it's rabbits. I had two nice tomato plants almost ready to be transplanted into the ground. A rabbit nipped one off, left it on the ground. I started more baby tomato plants. The rabbit nipped half of them off. So, I brought in the milk crate cover. If the problem persists, the next step is the rabbit trap and relocation. Stay tuned.
