I did hear from her, she is safe for now. One more night in Paris, I think - then getting out of there.

She loves France too, has done all of her school foreign language classes in French, and I hope her experience doesn't muddy that fantasy too much.

As for me, I am slightly the opposite. But that's ok.

For anyone concerned, I was able to connect with my daughter in Paris via email, and confirmed all was well. She has safely made it to Athens, and will be home (USA) later this week.

I'm sure she'll have some stories to tell.
