True about the foundation. i still would be the happiest if BTC would get strong privacy. But it looks like everything cool got sacrificed for NGU.

Ngu is necessary for the world. That’s the foundation. That’s what makes it the last money the people ever need.
Meanwhile upcoming layers will fix the needed privacy. It’s coming.
But without the foundation there is no need to talk or think about the partial features. Imo. Again, everyone is free to chose. That’s also a part of the foundation. It’s all voluntarily and no one is forced to use x or y
I would strongly disagree - the foundation was a p2p electronic currency. That would have been a revolution. The surveillance gold use case is a psyop imo - the states still keep their monopoly on money and bitcoiners can be regulated to hell to make sure nobody ever uses it as money.
Anyway, time will tell :)
It was a broader idea. P2P is in tact. Right now I can do this. No issues. but to be the final money the world will ever need you need more than the 9 pages. that was the initial idea. And we are building on top of it.
The internet also evolved into what we have today. It’s still build on tcp ip protocol. Pretty damn old. The rest is build on top of and that’s fine.
Surveillance, state, gold, hype is just distraction. Everything is still in play.
