I like the idea of USD staying around for a long time while simultaneously we have unencumbered Bitcoin adoption.

If you have the shittier thing around it’s useful to compare the good thing to the shitty thing to highlight the value of the good thing.

It also allows a gradual transition off the fiat debt ponzi as people can save in Bitcoin and buy with capital instead of credit.

A system with honest truthful incentives keeps us in a better place.
