In countries like vietnam and mexico, there is one type of asbestos which remains in common use. Grok did not find anything notable in the way of disputing asbestos toxicity, but based on how much accepted mainstream consensus is bullshit, it's worth asking.
Theres at least three types of asbestos that i know off the top of my head, theres the blue and brown which are really bad news, and the white which is the least bad.
Trust me, you dont want that shit in your lungs, ever. It embeds itself in the air sacs causing edema and inflammation and youre never getting it out. If they dig your corpse up in two hundred years, those asbestos fibres will be right there in your chest cavity
Oh and back in the day there was a brand of smokes that had fucking asbestos filters.
It is fine, our teacher even gave us some to play around. It's just a stone.
The fibre is the dangerous thing.
So when the OP talks about glass fibre I think it's the 'glass-wool'-type fibre, not fibre optics.
So, asbestos is fine, like glass is fine.
Just don't inhale tiny strings made out of it.
