Poker & life have so many similarities.

In poker, you may have a great plan for the hand, but then one bad card comes and you may need to figure out how to minimize the damage soon on the way.

In life, circumstances change, people change, your own desires change. Sometimes you’ll be in a winning position and want to capitalize & other times it’s better to figure out how to scrape by with little lost.

In both situations, an ego death may be completely necessary in order to adapt to the new information & execute the best decision. Can you drop your ego and admit your original plan is no longer worth anything? Or will your ego block you from being in connection with your intuition?

This is why the smartest people stay open-minded, flexible, and don’t have a problem admitting when they’re wrong.
