Keyboard warriors are kind pathetic humans in my opinion. If you say shit online you wouldn't say to someone's face you are a little person. I agree though that you can't take what others say online seriously. Still doesn't change the fact those people are shitty. This case seems like she is being stalked. Not sure there is an actual solution to that. I guess centralized platforms you can report but even then I feel like majority of those cases no action is ever taken. I just know multiple woman already quit Nostr because harassment so I assume its worse than probably what we think. Keyboard warriors are cowards and people can have a little thicker skin. Not shocking that constant new accounts talking insane to you anytime you go on Nostr is a turn off for most people.

No doubt people are shitty. There is literally no solution to that, and the reason wars, rape, robbery, assault, and so many things happen on a regular basis.
While unfortunate, those women leaving because of free speech is in my opinion exactly what is wrong with the world. Punching back at a bully or creep is the better way for sure. But to each their own. Many clients also now have word blocking, lists, and so on. There are christian only relays, and so on. We are not there yet for sure, but certainly at least we are developing tools to help an individual cater their experience. Unlike X or most others, where you only the features and tools they give you.
I agree you should stand up for yourself especially in real life. However its hard to beat a keyboard warrior in a war. They are clearly losers and have all the time in the world to engage in a meaningless battle of insults and creating new accounts to make sure you are seeing their insults lol.
I agree though eventually the tools will be there so each individual user can have an experience they are comfortable with. Freedom is the killer feature of Nostr but if we want to get more users in the future we need certain tools for users for sure.
I think Discovery in Nostr needs work. New people are using primal and only see Bitcoin talk or nostr development trending. Odell kind of lives on the top of trending.
I wonder if Primal would consider same algo for their trending but ones that you can remove words like Bitcoin or nip for the people not interested in it. This way they can discover people of things they are more interested in. I am sure there is better ideas but that was one that ame to mind for new users not interested in certain things to find people to follow easier.
You can do your tribe trending. If you didn't follow bitcoiners, then it wouldn't show any? I use tons of topics and hashtags in primal as well.
Yea tribe isn't bad your right for finding new followers. The most common complaint I see about Nostr is that its a bitcoin cult lol. Love for primal or any of the big clients just to have a remove word from trending or mute Bitcoin or any word in general option. So I can reply to these people that their excuse of not using Nostr is no longer valid. Mute Bitcoin and engage with other people. Enjoy the Freedom.
