I totally agree, but, if Bitcoin is as antifragile as we believe it to be…

1) it shouldn’t matter

2) wouldn’t we want our homeland leading

I used to think that as well, and don’t get me wrong - I don’t WANT state capture. I do think though it is inevitable AND simultaneously believe the protocol can withstand human fallibility in any form.

You want me to be smart? OK. The Bitcoins wouldn't really help the people of Gaza if they don't want to bribe their enemies to stop bombing them, which I wouldn't. So don't give them all your Bitcoins. Just stop bombing them, or I will take your Bitcoins.
