i had years of struggling with GIPHY, for now i think mp4 is the way ...... just so long as clients AutoLoop them so the #perfectloops work .. ...

I’ve started compressing gifs with lossy encoding, because we reached a point where many clients stopped loading them. MP4 without audio channels is the way! 🐶🐾🫡

i never understood how GIFs were still an acceptable format anyway. ..... i've suspected it might just be the catchy name ..... but it's a trash format from the dawn of the internet. .... 256 colors and a binary alpha channel. ...... we can do better.
