I've always found global feeds to be a pointless firehose of noise and anime (going back to the fediverse), but people do seem to engage on nostr. Pretty cool but surely can't last.

there's that whole critical mass thing. groups get established, and once there's a migration of outsiders it feels strange. people do this predictably over and over again.

what most of all these tools lack is a way to creatively filter without being annoying to the end user. at the same time, filtering has its own set of issues, notably you miss out, but at the same time i know assuredly i don't need anime crap showing up in my timelines, either. its a waste of spirit and my focus.

I guess with nostr there are lots of people trying different things, so maybe we will find the right way

the thing is so bustly that i hardly get notifications that people have replied to my comments, so i just found this by scrolling over 100 or so things and your message nver hit the heart notification thingy

so theres work to be done to make the whole thing coherent still, at that..
