Unfortunately not the specific 100 gigs from Drake the FBI was looking for 😅
Early start this morning
Quantity over quality for this mf
I’m happy to not be growing up in this era of rap music
To be fair, I really love the site. It's a .org and anyone can grab whatever they want to create from it. It's all the stuff they probably had sitting there, now released, free to the public. The concept was actually cool. Also if more musicians did this - especially on Nostr...I believe this could not only create a whole new creative path but also help artists build better draws (I know drake already has a massive fan base so put that aside, thinking of lesser known artists or people who rather escape the "music industry") for their shows. Fans could create art pieces from what is given. I rather see this than see the headline I read a couple days ago, "women not allowed to fly with baby because the baby name is trademark by Disney"...like if that is real, trademarking a baby name inspired by their favorite characters is now a no no? That's lame if true. So if more artists say hey yeah here's all my shit, do what you want with it and maybe as a collective we create something new or cool, not be greedy pigs....
But I could also be getting inspiration from an idea. So it is what it is.
And hello. 😁
You make good points.
But I’m only looking for good music.
Although it was nice getting inserts in CD in the days. So I can see why super fans will love the extra bits or gigs in this case
It’s easier for Drake to give away a tonne of content because he has a whole army working for him (well his label do). Filming gigs costs money, unless you have the time (and money) to invest in camera equipmrnt and the tools to capture high quality audio. It all costs and most musicians are seriously struggling as independents.
Perhaps if there was funding in the same way get devs get, that could work. Indie labels used to do that development work but most of those go under as they can’t compete.
I totally appreciate the sentiment and a lot of artists are really trying to do stuff and reach an audience.
