Over the last 5–10 years, I’ve been taught “FUBU” — for us, by us — so I’ve learned there are things not for me. I act accordingly. When people check out Ironheart and feel it’s not really for them — whether that’s queerness, race, or gender — they don’t stick around. Sometimes that’s respect, sometimes resentment. But you can’t blame folks for doing what they’ve been trained to do — and what they want to do. People vote with their money, their feet, and their attention.
