Watched Birdman (2014), a dark comedy directed by Alejandro Gonzales Iñárritu. A washed up actor only famous for playing an action hero called Birdman, tries to make a comeback by directing and playing in a Broadway play. He has to deal with an erratic co-star while being tormented by his Birdman alter ego as the premiere is approaching. I really enjoyed this one. Filmed in one-shot style which really showcases the main character fragile mental state. The score was amazing. The acting and the cast as well. The satire of Hollywood aspect was excellent. We’re never fully sure if what we’re seeing is a fragment of the main character’s imagination or reality. 7.9/10 #nodereviews

I really liked that one too. It was oddly captivating. The acting from everyone was superb 💜

I liked when the movie would break the fourth wall. Or when you’d hear screaming outside the scene, but then the main character would go where the sound came from and it was someone trying to get his attention

Agree.

I do remember it did really well at managing these scenes.

Some movies try these things and fail miserably.

It was definitely worth watching.

And it was odd. I like odd 💜

I find some of the best movies are the odd ones

The director took risks
