Do feel free to clear any misconceptions which may have been brewed up within my mind if so - but that was simply my first impression

But I do find it odd that Bitcoin is pushed a lot because I thought privacy was something people cared a lot for, don't get me wrong Bitcoin is cool and so is lightning but it left me wondering if a lot of the people pushing Bitcoin here were not just agents of governments who were pushing a tool which makes transaction tracking, well, easier and more automatable (standardised too) - there's a lot of attention around Bitcoin as the god of cryptocurrencies when it is rather just a piece of technology like any other with advantages and disadvantages but it doesn;t seem to be treated like that but rather has a cultish following.
I would much rather be in the cult of privacy and find the best tool and/or weigh up the benefits and diadvantages of each piece of technology per situation but by large that doesn't seem the case here OR maybe my bias of privacy-enjoying is wrong - most people DON'T care all too much about privacy and would rather use BTC+LGHTNG for simply faster Bitcoin transactions.
I'm not a fan of zaps in their current form. Yes, they're a nice plaything, but having a static LNURL address for receiving AND announcing publicly that you paid something is bad for privacy (for sender and receiver).
BOLT12 seems to be the best solution at the moment but it's likely a few years away.
