Alby is shutting down their custodial wallet service in a few days. So in order to keep using your Alby lightning address after that you have to connect your account to either your own node, or to some other backend wallet provider.

Thanks I knew that, I don't know what NWC or coinos node. With something as strong and hard as bitcoin, I am still wrestling with the idea of lightning in all its current flavours. Still learning, won't play until I understand.

I like your memes corndalorian as long as you don't want you hand back.

My memes are always free 😂🫂🤝 Lightning is very versatile. The best way to learn is use it starting with small amounts at first. I ran my own node for about a year and learned a lot about channels, liquidity, node implementations, pros and cons of custodial vs self-custodial, etc. It’s a lot of fun but can be a lot of stress if you put too much into your channels without knowing what you’re doing. And even then it can still be stressful lol. As for NWC, it stands for Nostr Wallet Connect. It’s a way for apps to connect to compatible Lightning wallets. It essentially allows an app, such as a Nostr client, to become a front end for that wallet. It supports setting budgets and other rules to control how much access the app has to the wallet.
