I've only seen it once in real time here.
Southern Utah skies get hit a bunch, around St. George.
I found a few videos online, but they don't capture it very well.
Looks like one needs a very wide angle lense and then the camera needs to track the movement of the clouds by tilting, and possible by physically moving with the clouds.
